In New Zealand...

I've made it! 5 flights, 2 hotel rooms, 6 airports, 3 delays later and I've made it to Auckland! Lots of answers to prayer along the way - thanks for all those who were praying! Thank you to all who have been supporting me along the way - the encouragement I received in my last few days around Edin has very much kept me going - thank you so much!

Am now trying to recover from jetlag and just missing whole nights of sleep! I have my first meeting of the Auckland team tomorrow so it will be good to meet everyone and get to know what is going on.

There is so much I want/need to write about but afraid I am still not functioning 100%! There is one little thing I wanted to show you. I was sitting next to two lovely sisters from Brisbane all the way from Dubai - they had been travelling through Europe. We got on to the topic of pavlovas and I brought up the controversial question of whether this was an Oz or and NZ invention. They seemed surprised by this, of course it is from Australia. I decided not to question it given that I had to remain sitting in close proximity to them for over 15 hours and would rather I hadn't offended their national pride for their local dish. Was then quite ironic to come across this advert for insurance as we watched TV last night... think it captures quite a bit of the NZ attitude:
