Happy Easter!

Well, sorry for my silence - afraid this will only be a short one as well. Things have been good over the past few weeks since O-Week. It is unreal how early Easter is this year though - we are only just finishing week 3 back to uni!

Have had some great encouragements and good conversations. Was good to get to the end of a study of the first part of John 1 with AUT today - talking of the Word, Light in Darkness and being children of God through Christ. Amazing stuff but particularly encouraging to hear a bunch of students really engaging with it round the table. OCF had a film night tonight and a successful bbq last weekend and have a good lot of friends coming along regularly to events and meetings. Lots of prayer for EU as we look at the growth strategy of the group!

I'm off to Hamilton Friday and Saturday this weekend with some of the students around Auckland to hear Don Carson doing a series of six talks on Nehemiah. Should be a great opportuntity to both hear some great exposition and get to know some of the students a bit better. Am looking forward to a visit from one of the MBC families, the Lanes, on Easter Sunday. Hope to do a bit of siteseeing with them!

One other thing for you to be praying for over this weekend is the student conference in Papau New Guinea, their movement is also called TSCF. They are having a conference this weekend for over 3000 students. Nigel Pollock, Director of TSCF in NZ, is going to speak at it and Jeff Pelz is going along to get roped into things last minute! Nigel's blog gives a good picture of what they can expect!

So, shorter than normal, but hope to write more after the weekend! Have a wonderful Easter of celebrating the death of our Lord and Saviour, his resurrection and our new life in Him!
