Milo Mondays, John and Isaiah

The past few days have been really great! Some real encouragements. AUTCF run a regular outreach every Monday morning, handing out Milo (a bit like ovaltine) to those around campus. It was great to see campus at that time, to spend time serving with some of the CF folk and to have some interesting conversations with those we served. They really are a brilliant bunch, a great witness to Christ on campus. They are making their way through John at the moment which has been a challenge so far but lead to some great study and investigation into the Word!

I was also able to train the new Impact Group leaders for OCF today. It has all come together rather quickly and they are hoping the groups will start next week. It is their aim that these groups will be a great forum for getting into the Bible together, to see lives impacted. We'll be running two identical sessions of training every week to take them through the studies. All seemed to go well today with the first one!

We also had the first study in Isaiah today with EU. I did a bit of an overview - a bit of a challenge in a 66 chapter book - and it was great to see the girls engaging with the horizons of prophecy and the way that we see it fulfilled. I am excited about the next few weeks as we delve further into the book. It is good that they now seem excited rather than daunted as well!

It had been raining all day today, not cold but very wet. As we came to the end of the study in Isaiah the light outside just was amazing. As we emerged from the chapel the sky was stunning. This is the view over to the SkyTower as you come out of the Auckland Uni Chapel. What a beautiful place in which to be sharing Jesus!

Good to see you yesterday - sorry it wasn't for longer. Milo a bit like Ovaltine? Hmmm....that makes it sound a bit of an old person's drink! I know what you mean though!
