Today

Today I got my very first (and let's try for only) parking ticket in NZ. I did park in a 60min maximum space for about 2hrs though. The fine is $12. That is about £4. At times like these I quite like that I live in NZ...

Today is also my brother's 21st birthday. That only actually happens once in your life. He's not planning anything mega special but going out for dinner with the family and seeing some friends etc. I'm sure he will have a fantastic day. I've already done 4th August and it went well for me! No, seriously, can't quite believe Andrew is 21. I long to actually be in Edinburgh, to be able to have a chat with him and my family. To have a laugh. To celebrate. I am very proud about who God is making Andrew to be and how he is using him. Happy Birthday Andrew!
At times like these NZ seems quite far away...

At times like these it is helpful to have people like the above to remind me of why I am here; to encourage me and challenge me, to support me and to try me and most of all to point me towards Jesus in their own individual ways. Again, what a privilege.
